Review of the Big Agnes Big House Tents

The Big Agnes House tents are truly big! There is the Big Agnes Big House 4 and a Big Agnes Big House 6 - suitable for sleeping 4 or 6 people. Although big tents they are in fact free standing but it is recommended that you still stake them down. There is plenty of head room which is what you would expect with such a large tent so no need to bend over or crouch once inside.
These tents are easy to set up and come with color coded webbing, buckles and easy fit poles connectors. Aluminium is used for the poles and also the stakes so the tent is lightweight.
Inside there is one large space sleeping up to 6 people depending on which type of tent you purchase. You can purchase some vestibules to go with the tent to be able to store lots of gear and keep everything dry. The vestibules themselves are fairly large and can store a lot of stuff. There are two very big doors into the tent and plenty of mesh pockets.
It is airy and light inside due in part to the big skylight. Ventilation is good and when the doors are open it is very comfortable.
These tents have been really well waterproofed and so stand up to wet weather no problem.
Overall these Big Agnes Big House tents are great for families giving plenty of space for both sleeping and storing gear. If the weather is bad then there is still room to stay inside and have a meal and for the children to play games. A very good tent.
